Fixed gear bikes can be designed for Track Racing, Commuting, Cyclo Cross, Mountain Biking, and even Artistic Cycling. Some bikes are strictly for racing while other models make very good dependable, everyday city bikes. The style and geometry of your bike should depend on the type of riding you will do.
