29″ Mountain Bikes
Same geometry as a 26″ mountain bike in scale with a 700c wheel. A 29″ tire actually has the same bead seat diameter as a road bike tire. Beyond that the idea is that the mountain bike format equipped with the larger wheel size and tire base is more stable and efficient than a 26″ bike. Personally I like them because you can pedal to the trail head switch tires from road to knobby and be set. I’ll put some pics of my Urban/Mountain machine soon.
Like 26″ mountain bikes 29ers come in rigid, hard-tail and full suspension designs.
Complete 29″ mountain bikes include
The Bianchi SOK 29er Series, the KHS Solo-One the Solo-One SE the Tuscon and the Flagstaff, the Fuji Tahoe Comp, Tahoe Pro and the Tahoe SL, Swobo Sanchez and theVan Dessel Drag Strip Courage
