BICYCLE FILM FESTIVAL!!!! (CLOSED SAT. – SUN. BLOCK PARTY!!!)
Yep, that’s right – it’s time once again for the yearly incarnation of the Los Angeles installation of the Bicycle Film Festival! Check out the schedule – this year’s programs are amazing! WE WILL BE CLOSED SATURDAY FOR THE FESTIVAL! This year’s program definitely features the riding in Los Angeles with some films highlighting LA’s cycling culture and riders, i.e.: Lucas Brunelle’s Worldwide Adventures (w/ footage from last year’s events), The Bike Lane, LA Bike Scene, Taco Tuesday, and Wolfpack Hustle: a Midnight Dragrace.
Of course, the Bicycle Film Festival has a movie for every type of cyclist – for flatlanders, there’s the Tico Jam – for roadies, there’s the Coppi documentary, Standing Still, and the Road to Roubaix movie – for track riders, there’s Keirin, Bang-King, Fixie Dave, Macaframa, the Making of Bootleg Sessions 2, and the Six-Day Bicycle Races – for messengers and traffic junkies, the Lucas Brunelle movie and Skitch King are sure to get your blood flowing – and there’s a lot more…

Well, Sunday is the day of the Bicycle Film Festival block party here on Heliotrope Dr. If you’ve never been to the shop before, it’s not exactly the best time to come peruse our bike selection… The shop will be closed, and we’ll be running around trying to get stuff organized. This is a great day to come out and see some mayhem and cycling performances. The highlight for me this year will be the crazy, cool performance by Ines Brunn! (Click on her name for more info and videos…) There will also be a few tents and advocacy booths here in addition to the general cycling mayhem. So come on by – it’ll be a blast!
